Bookopolis: Redesigning for Clearer Communication
Involvement
I worked with Bookopolis to redesign the structure of their landing page and user profile page to better communicate website information. I also built a community-building leaderboard feature into the existing UI.
Design Challenge
Bookopolis is a fun and safe online platform, whose mission is to ignite the passion of reading in children ages 7-12.
Navigation Bar Iterations
Restructuring the Information Architecture
Bookopolis offers many engaging features that users can navigate between. I redesigned the Recent Updates logged-in landing page in order to better communicate these features visually at a glance. I iterated upon the page's content layout, as well as website navigation to both this Home page and My World profile page.
Building a Community
Utilizing Bookopolis' point and badge system, I further expanded upon this community-building gamefication by redesiging the My World user profile page and incorporating a competitive leaderboard into the exisiting UI. This allows users to feel more engaged within the Bookopolis community by tracking their status compared to their friends and inspiring them to continue discovering and reading new books.
